Wellingham House occupies a pretty position in a country lane, a stone’s throw from Glyndebourne and the historic town of Lewes. It is an impressive Georgian property and a welcoming family home. The recently redecorated guest rooms offer beautiful views over the South Downs National Park and the walled garden. Over the years Wellingham House has been remodelled on various occasions, most notably by the twentieth century classical architect, Raymond Erith, responsible for the reconstruction of Downing Street after the war.
